The name is misleading. These machine knives are jokingly called “pizza knives” only by the users.
These circular knives don’t cut Italian pastries, but rather elastomer material from roller conveyors to create a perforation separation line. The knives measure Ø 200 x 8 x 60 mm. The cutting edge is profiled on both sides to create a serrated cut that pre-perforates the material, allowing the strips to be separated later.

The 6-edge blade has a double-beveled edge on both sides. This reusable blade is attached to a robot arm. The robot automatically opens cartons in an unpacking line.

A hooked blade has a curved, hooked edge for cutting materials straight or diagonally without tearing the material. Typical applications include packaging and carton processing, adhesive tape or film, leather and textile processing, tape and film removal for hand cutting, and precision work where a normal straight blade would cut too deeply.

Cable production in Germany involves multi-stage processes, beginning with wire drawing and ending with cable sheathing. Individual wires are twisted into strands, insulated, twisted, shielded if necessary, and finally coated with a sheath that protects against external influences. Cutting and stripping require a variety of cutting tools, including extremely delicate knives.

The versatile applications of adhesive tapes can be found extensively in industry, commerce, and households. Their technical uses range from bonding, masking, and packaging to anti-slip properties. However, all tapes must also be cut appropriately to meet specific needs. The serrated blades used for this purpose come in a wide variety of designs. The photo shows the blades already sealed in vacuum foil. These are just one of many options in our blade manufacturing.

We already reported in this blog about the craftsmanship involved in regrinding a punch. This punching tool, with a cutting dimension of 100 × 100 mm, is used, among other applications, in the production of electrical insulation materials, technical laminates, and composite materials and is presented here as a new tool. This and other punching tools with various dimensions have recently left our production facility

In filter systems for air purification in industrial plants, these blades are installed in front of the intake drags for mechanical removal of foreign bodies. The so -called “saw blades” are available in different lengths. They were made from material DIN 1,2842 and have the dimensions of 162 x 35 x 6 mm in the form shown.

To maintain botanical and baroque gardens, various cutting tools, including mower blades, are required. The lawns are cut with mowers, in this case with an 800 mm heavy-duty blade. In the picture, these blades are being roughly pre-ground on a belt grinder with coarse-grit sandpaper for a later fine sharpening. The many sparks are carbon explosions, ignited and burning due to frictional heat.

Craftsmanship is still needed here. With a compressed air-powered band grinder. Cutting tool is a square punch with a cutting size 100 × 100 mm. Among other things, this serves to manufacture electroisoline materials, technical laminates and composite materials.
